Tires are very hard to install
I have read many reviews on these tires and I finally decided to get a pair. Most of the negative reviews were around installing the tire and how hard it was. I didn't realize how bad it was going to be to install the tires on the rims. I even bought the $20 tool to help. I am glad I did. It was the only way I was able to get the plastic pieces to clip into the rim. I spent an hour plus on each tire installing them. If Tannus could come up with a solution to install the tires in an easier fashion I would definitely recommend them, but as for a time saver so I don't have to worry about flats, I'm not sure this qualified. I can change a flat tire in less than 15 mins. With over 3 hours of install time I could have replaced over 12 flat tires. Not convinced that they are worth the work of getting them on the bike.

the MTB perspective
There are two themes in my critique in that of user friendliness and adequate information. First however, one thing that was kinda a shock, there is nothing to plug the hole in the rim. In a facetious gesture they provide a patch kit, like ha ha. Living near the ocean salt is everywhere and a hole on a rim is not ideal, went to the hardware store, got an automotive plug. A missed opportunity for a sticker or plug that could help advertise the tires.
When purchasing mtb tires there is plenty of info and pics to ensure a good purchase. Getting the box and reading the riding limitations was something that should have been available prior to purchase.
How about a sticker with the size of the pins on the bag(s), a universal one would work. Both the chart online and the written instructions gave incorrect info when choosing the pins, putting the tires on two different size rims they were 0-2. Different installation info is scattered or hidden on the video, the website and in the box. Putting the tire in the sun was most helpful, did it on the second wheel a few days before installing. Getting the tires on is like reading Crime and Punishment, better once done.
The best analogy for the ride is that of a sports car, a bit stiffer but made to go fast. My bike has locking front suspension so I can alter the ride quality on the fly. Have already run over a nail, pulled it out kept riding.
Good once on, set and forget. Gravel tires or dirt path able, would've been my choice.

Tannus,
I can't honestly rate your product as I'm still awaiting my order from week back...kudos to the representative who has been working diligently to address this problem, but as of today the has not arrived. Please assist further with this issue...

Not easy to install
Definitely not a 1 person install with our aid. I had to pre stretch it using ratchet strap on one end and trailer hitch on other. Used this to keep it stretched while installing it onto the rim. Snapped inserts into place onto the rim using a screwdriver. Rides well and looking forward to no more flats. I would buy again.

Better than expected
I bought these for my wife’s road bike. I wanted something maintenance free for her. They were extremely challenging to put on but they aren’t going anywhere now that they are on. They ride pretty good. I can definitely tell they aren’t an air tire but the wife will never know the difference.

Didn't get Screwed
Third week on Tannus tires and the picture says it all. Great commuter tire. I was using a larger tire to reduce flats, but the mud would bring me to a stop due to lack of tire clearance. Tannus 28mm run much smaller (like a 25mm) than my Continental 28mm, so there is plenty of clearance now. Good ride quality

Shield: 26"x1 3/8"
88 dollars a tire after shipping, does not do well on rubble or wet surface turning, no sharp turning at all.
Bought it for my motorized mountain bike, because inner tube stems kept getting cut by the rim from torque. Great solution, just sacrificing a good bit of performance if you're a wild rider like me. Wish different treads came in smaller rim mm sizes.

Great tires
I'm a 47 yr old woman and I bought these tires to ride my bike to work and not have to worry about a flat making me late. I reviewed a few web site but ultimately bought Tannus tires. I bought them online and the first one was hard to install but I also did not read the instructions the second one was a breeze but I read the instructions. They worked great my 1 and only complaint would be that they kind of feel as if you were riding on a tire that was low you had to push a little harder to make the bike move. For the bike I had i was only able to choose one size and it only gave me an option for regular air pressure. I hope whoever stole my bike is enjoying the tires they are the only things on my bike i would want back. I'm actually looking for new tires on the site today for a bike my coworker gave me this bike I can buy the hard ones and try them out and come back and review.

Trade Ride Comfort for Peace of Mind
I commute to work daily on my Juiced Cross Current X ebike. I have no choice but to go down a road with a lot of industrial traffic and as such picked up a lot of large punctures from nails and screws before switching to these tires. I purchased and installed the Shield: 700x40 airless tires and now have a small pile of nails and screws on my desk I've kept over the last year that would have otherwise resulted in a flat. I love the peace of mind that comes with knowing your tires are immune to flats. The ride leaves a little to be desired but I find the trade off to be well worth it. I took off a star because after about only 1000 miles on the tire the tread has worn off completely on my rear tire making it substantially less grippy if I lock up the rear brake or if its wet out. I reached out to CS today to see if I qualify for the 3000 mile guarantee.

Great tires for a WorryFree Bromton M6 (named: Prime Mover)!
I put these on my brand new Brompton M6 - Prime Mover in RED! My Brompton is Black, silver and red. Looks AWESOME with the red tires. I am a heavier rider...loosing weight fast! The tires DEFINITELY need to be worn in. At first they are VERY squishy and feel unstable in turns. This is NORMAL! I now have 250 miles on the tires and they are a DREAM!! Broken in they are stiff and stable in any condition...rain or shine, paved or gravel. It is incredible not having to even think about where I am riding and wonder if I will flat. I don't have to carry spare tubes, tire tools or pump! AWESOME!! Keep in mind, the tires are a WORKOUT to get on! That's a good thing though,...it just means they won't accidentally come off. I HIGHLY recommend getting these tires on your Brompton or any other bike you might have. I ride my Brompton EVERYWHERE. I commute, run errands and will eventually travel with it. Not having to worry about my tires is such a great feeling!!

Well worth the investment
I recently purchased a Vision R40 recumbent bicycle w/ the 16" front wheel and 26" rear wheel. I purchased a Mini-Velo: 16"x1.25" for the front tire and Razorblade: 26x1.75 for the rear, both Sahara Tan. The front tire was very hard to put on. My husband did the installation for that tire. The rear was much easier and I was able to put it on from start to finish myself.
I've taken it out for a ride and couldn't be happier with them. They look great with the blue paint on the bike and most importantly, I will not need a tire kit/pump/tubes. It provides a huge peace of mind. This is the second bike I've put Tannus on. No regrets. Both of my bikes are used for commuting and fun. Mostly street riding, some gravel, some dirt. Will continue to purchase these tires and would recommend them to the every day rider.

I’m Still Analyzing The tires but…
They look narrow.
They work better on concrete that is flat
and smooth.
A rough asphalt street or Gravel street is not as comfortable. It is important to note th I am 225 pound adult on a small 16 inch wheel. An air tire would be better for comfort but a tire that you don’t have to inflate is better for an old disabled adult.

Penny Farthing With Solid Tannus
Great Product!! This is the second tire I have bought for my two penny farthing builds. These bikes are meant to have solid tires. I was running a pneumatic tire on the rear but with the Tannus no more goat head worries. Plus it gives me just the right amount of cushion! I will be ordering two tires for my road bike today!

Loves these tires!
Had these installed right before Lake Tahoe event. Rode 70 miles on the new tires and loved them. Ride quality is the same as what I had before (gator skins at 100 psi). Loved the idea of not carrying all of the items necessary to fix a flat tire. I will be using these tires going forward on my road bike as I see no reason to go back to tubed tires.
Find a local dealer and give them a try!

Well lets begin with, great product!! I bought the tire armor. While you do not sell it in my size yet, i purchased a size up and cut to fit. They feel firm, yet take some of the bumps from trails and roads. The smoothness and feel while a plus, the real reason for buying these was because of glass. Other tire liners give you 1-2mm of wimpy protection. Your liners stop glass before it pops my tube!! I have been spending hundreds of dollars a year on tubes and tires, your liners have put an end to that. While I don't expect them to last forever with as much glass as there is here in the inner city, I have been flat free since installation. I am very tempted to try your flat free tires now. You do make those in my size!! Yay!! " Tannus, the company that saved biking in the city!!!" is what the people of the future will say. I'm sold on these. Great product, keep up the good work!! The people on the motorized bike forums i've told about these, are pretty excited. We've been waiting for over a decade for something like this to hit the market. I'm willing to bet if you design a tire specifically for the motorized bike community, it will have a huge fan fair behind it. Thanks again for the great product, and good wishes to the whole team down there at Tannus.

Tri bike tannus
I've been riding here in Arizona for 8 years, cactus and glass abound and flat flat flat, bought tannus slick 100lb 700-25c for my Reynolds aero 90 carbon wheels and yeah no FLATS. Yeah at first some rolling resistance but not a lot, just a mile per hour or so, now after riding these for 1 year my leg muscles have compensated for that and I'm back up to speed, so very nice to ride anywhere and not worry about fixing a flat. I'm riding a tririg omni and no quick release levers to stick out in the wind they use Allen bolts for aero, so tougher to remove a wheel and stand the bike somewhere during repair. These tires are holding up well as I've ridden about 1200 miles and can still see the center ridge so they are holding up to the road wear. I'm going to put a set of 700-25c 110 lbs (hard) on my Renovo wood bike with aero 72 mm wheels to see how these work. I drove to Tucson AZ. And had the bike shop that sells them mount them as that was difficult but they did it the same day and for $30. So nice to just concentrate on the ride, not is that tire going flat, they help in training at first then you'll outrun the pack.... Highly recomended super fun to ride... Thanks Tannus

Once you go Tannus you'll never go back
Absolutely love the tires and recommend them all the time.
My initial set was the Slick 700 x 23c regular 105 psi. I put 3000 miles on those. They then introduced the New Slicks. I now ride the New Slicks 700x 25c, 95 psi. I've put 500 mi on them. These are even better than the first. The ride is smooth. The handling is great and the grip is excellent. The ride feeling is equivalent to my Continental Grand Prix 4000s II pneumatics and I don't worry or care about rode debris. The weight is within 2.4 oz of the Continentals and my bike lost weight overall by dropping the spare tube, irons and pump. Customer service is great. I recommend getting the P-tool. It makes installation faster and easier.
Give them a try. You won't regret it.
