I recently picked up a swig rig, and I can’t believe it took me this long to find out about this product! There are so many reasons this hydration system is hands-down better than any bladder system. First off, paired with a big Nalgene bottle, which I do, is great for so many reasons. You can have it outside of your packs and get a visual on what you have for water, you never have to worry about a bladder breaking in your pack, WAY easier to fill and clean a Nalgene than a bladder, the quick-detach means that you can get multiple hoses for all of your packs and just have it set up on each one and when you’re ready to use, you just drop a Nalgene in your side pocket and you’re good to go! This is absolutely the best way to stay hydrated out in the field, plus it doesn’t take up any room inside your packs. I wish I came up with this, but so glad the Hardside Hydration guys did! Customer for life and telling everyone I know how much this is a game changer. Well done🤙

This product makes a huge positive impact to my backpacking - I can now take periodic sips of water on the move without having to carry a water bottle in my hand or on my pack straps. Fits a smart water bottle perfectly and hose is plenty long to reach either side pocket or even rear pouch. Air hole has a small relief valve in it to prevent water from spilling out and to keep foreign material out of your water. The hose disconnect allows you to change out the cap and straw from your empty bottle to your full bottle. The clip to connect hose and bite valve to pack strap is helpful but kind of flimsy and prone to falling off my pack strap - would like to see that proved. Only reason I give this 4 stars. Product is well made and rugged. I would recommend this for anyone who has trouble reaching the bottles in your pack pockets without having to take off the pack.

I can’t say enough good things, both about the product and customer service. I had an original unit from when the company started years ago. Lost a piece and called for a replacement, fully expecting to pay for the lost part. They wouldn’t hear of it and sent me a new unit at no cost. I also have the smaller unit that affixes to the top of Smart Water bottle. I haven’t had anything from Hardside Hydration that hasn’t operated anything but flawlessly. *The aforementioned lost part was completely my fault btw…..

Great product, even better company! These guys are the real deal. Customer service that actually cares about the customer and providing a really great product. I will be sipping through the swig rig for years to come! Product highly recommended for anyone that needs a hydration solution that won’t soak your down sleeping bag when you are 12 miles deep on day 4 of an archery elk hunt! I’ve been using the Hard Side Hydration Swig Rig system for approx 3 years and found it to be the best water carry system around. Very easy to refill and clean the bottle as compared to a water bladder. I can always see how much water I have too. I use it for backpacking & hunting and vary the water bottle size depending on how far I’m hiking or hunting. They also have a great customer service department and are very responsive. Can’t ask for much it’s more than that!

Bought two, both leaked on top of every bottle I tried. The valve and cover in the photos is NOT the valve that comes with it - it may be the worst bite valve I have ever used. Luckily, a push connector from another popular brand is compatible with the quick connect, so I replaced it with an actual useful valve. However, since the threads on the bottle leak, it's unreliable and therefore useless. Would NOT recommend.

Bought this setup to not have to use a bladder bag setup cause I don't like the plastic flavor they have so this one is super easy to clean out so you can use flavor packs or hydration packs in this system with no problem 😊 No weird taste because you use a smart water bottle or something similar. I bought 2 of these for hunting season and we both have loved the setup!

Bought it for Christmas for my father, mostly to see if I liked it so I could buy myself one as well. We tried it on several different brands and styles of bottles and it leaked on all of them. Definitely wouldn't trust it in a pack. They did refund the price of the purchase, but were pretty snarky about it in the process. It's a good idea, but just didn't work.

I've done two Camino de Santiago routes and use Smart Water bottles to save some weight. I use them at home in WA mountains, because. This is exactly what I needed, but didn't know I needed it before I saw it. On the down side, I drink a lot more water now, which means more filtering. But staying hydrated is great.

I like the convenience of the hydration pack straw/valve but hate the hydration bladder because of leaks and gross flavor. This product solves this problem. Now I can take drink water without struggling to grab/reholster my water bottle and I don’t have to deal hydration bladders. Highly recommend!

Used this easy solution a few times now, was able to keep a large water bottle in my purse while shopping and keep hydrated even though the temperature outside was unbearably hot. Also, the customer service with this company is phenomenal! They are quick to respond and find solutions that work.

This is a total game changer. Perfect for my hunting trips. Gives me enough room inside my backpack. Always had a hard time drinking water from my water bladder after packing and carrying all that meat. Now I just carry two 1 liter bottles 1 with my rig and an extra one just in case.

Ordered this for my Mt. Zion trip and it worked awesome. The only issue I had was the little white plug fell off along the trail leaving and open hole. I messaged the company in hopes of a replacement plug but we'll see what happens. Other than that, great product 👌

Used this while hiking and thouroughly enjoy getting to drink while walking. However, the small air valve fell out pretty soon after starting use and since then I got water on me everytime I bent over. Fixed it with some glue but not happy with the way it went

My son who is a backcountry ranger showed me this product and I couldn’t wait get one!! I HATE bladders!!! I love this product because I can see how much I’ve drank, easy to clean, stay hydrated easier!! Thank you!!!
