I own one of these and I have to say this thing is brilliant. What it really does is make sure that every tooth has a perfectly uniform size and pitch which is impossible to achieve by hand. I was blown away the first time I cut some maple after using this. Because every tooth is the same it makes for a very easy uniform cut with very large chips. I would also add that once you understand it it is almost as quick as free hand so there is no real time penalty. I will never be without one again.

Needed a good chain sharpening jig. Tried other designs in past with little to no results. Surprised at how well this actaully works. As long as you line up with crank handle (carbide tip), and crank the handle, it doesn't look like it did much but when used it cut literally better than the shops sharpener.
