My dog loves this bed! Some of the reviews complain that the top does not stand up like the pictures indicate. While this is mostly true, the top of the bed does have some structure so that you can leave it propped open. It is meant to collapse like a blanket, and my dog took no time in figuring it out. There are better options if you are looking for a cave style bed; this is more for the dog that likes to burrow.

My Older cat loves this. As soon as it was unpacked she was in it, and has slept in it ever since. She tends to have bad dreams, to the point where she has been known to fling herself off the couch or chair she was sleeping on. I'm glad I have something soft for her to lay in on the floor so I don't have to worry about her hurting herself. I just got these. I put my kitties in and they didn't even get out, the slept right away. Other reviews kept saying the top doesn't stand up, it does. You can see in my pictures. It took awhile for the older one to realize how great the cat bed is, but now both my cat and kitten love these beds. I got them two and they sleep in them during the day every day for their afternoon cat naps. It's pretty large and they like the cave aspect of it rather than it being a blanket. The kitten loves to knead the material and bury her face in it. I got two of them so that they wouldn't fight over it, but they seem fine sharing XD

The bed is plush and cushioned well for small lightweight dogs. It won’t pass the “knee” support test for heavy arthritic dogs but does an adequate job for our #14 Maltipoo. First thing he did was “hide” his squeaky balls inside from his much larger brothers. The 4 stars is for the outside material (gray). The gray is thin and not substantial if you have a chewer.
