My dog has severe and intense fear of fireworks and thunder. Despite turning on white noise machines, the vent over the oven, and music, she always spends independence day and new years eve trembling, panting, and with a racing heartbeat for hours. I was extremely skeptical to try something like this, because I couldn't imagine she would be ok leaving them on and being okay with muffled hearing. I am so glad I tried them anyway! It was a last minute purchase, they arrived new years eve. When I came home from work, I held them in one hand and gave her high value treats from the same hand, so she had to put her face right by them to eat the treat. Then I put the ear muffs on her and immediately delivered more high value treats. Then I immediately gave her a puzzle with her dinner in it, and after that I took them off. About an hour later, as soon as it got dark, I put them back on her for the night. She was normal and even fell asleep in them. She did not tremble, jump or pant all night. With the fireworks I heard, she normally would have been terrified. I almost wonder if she knew they were helping her. For a couple really loud fireworks, she did lift her head off my lap, but instead of panicking lile normal, she just put her head back down and was relaxed. Please buy this for your dog if they have a similar fear. My dog is a 63 pound boxer, and size large was perfect. The protective case it comes with is awesome for storage because this is a product I want to take care of.

These headphones deliver! I purchased my first pair and tested them (on myself) by running a board through my table saw; they're excellent at noise reduction. They work so well that my dog now has two pairs—one for the car and one for the house. Just follow the instruction card for introducing and rewarding to acclimate your pup; it didn't take long. Also, if your dog has big ears, don't worry—my dog has BIG ears that don't fit fully inside the cup of the headphones, but they still get the job done. I simply slide the headphones on in a way that pins her ears back, and that works. (see pic) TL;DR: My dog isn't scared, and that makes me happy!

We had Disney World fireworks dessert party tickets and I wanted to make sure my service dog wouldn’t be affected by the fireworks. These headphones worked great. When the fireworks started you could tell she could hear them somewhat but not enough to bother her. She actually went to sleep. People commented they couldn’t believe she slept through them. So they were a win for us.

Does the job, I would get them again. I have to check to make sure they don't get knocked off. Usually once an hour or so I adjust them.

Pay attention to the sizing. I think I have the right size for my female Belgium Malinois, but I'm struggling to keep them from sliding around. I have yet to put them to the test during a thunderstorm or fireworks. I had the impression these also had noise-cancelling technology - they don't. At $59+, I found the product over priced. On the other hand, if they work and my dog doesn't melt down on Independence Day, I'll gratefully amend this rating.

Easy to use plus dog like it.

My dog and I recently moved to Alabama, and neither of us were prepared for the frequent thunderstorms. She's turned into a quivering, trembling little ball of fur. CBD is super short lasting for her. The Thundershirt doesn't help. I was at my wit's end. Tried these on a longshot. They seem to be well made, and fairly easy to adjust. Love the case they came in. She'll let me put them on, and will leave them on until I turn my back. Then she's got them off in a split second. She doesn't seem to hate them, but doesn't love them either. Wish they worked better for her.

To start off, they do fit will. But no matter how much I tighten them, I cannot get them to stay in place if he’s running or shakes at all. I tried pairing them with a set of glasses and it helped a little

These earmuffs are adorable and will be perfect for fourth of July. I've already been practicing with my dog who is quite anxious, when it comes to loud noises. I have already seen dramatic improvements when he wears them. Highly recommend!
