Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer
buffet like products (with lots of combined active ingredients) are always welcoming and I love them. This serum is made with decent actives such as bakuchiol, B3 and arbutin and it has excellent texture. So let's see what this product is.
Ingredients:
It contains 10% B3, 2% alpha arbutin, and 1% bakuchiol but according to the ingredient list, tranexamic acid (which is an excellent brightening ingredient) right after B3, so I guess it's more than 2% - collection of the good brightening ingredient, it's excellent. Then it contains lots of lots of extracts (which is irrelevant somehow) but I couldn't find the common preservatives in the ingredient list. I am not 100% sure whether they forgot to put on the list or used some extract mixture preservative substitute. I assume it's improper labeling, so I wouldn't writhe much further.
Texture:
The solution comes out as gel but it melts into the skin instantaneously. It's pretty decent texture and leaves skin glow temporarily. It's light texture and doesn't provide much hydration, so if you have dry skin then probably you should use additional moisturizer after.
Effectiveness:
Skincare is long term game and I fully understand it. I'm a Vine reviewer so I tried for 2 weeks even without knowing the exact formula. It actually DOES make skin glow and slightly improved some pigmentations.
Another Thought:
I couldn't find the origin of the manufacturing. Actually, it's pretty sensitive issue recently on Amazon. I reviewed this product so I used it but I am not sure you will want it as well because we really don't know where it's made.

Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer
I currently use retinol, applying it in the evening, but I haven’t wanted to use it in the morning because of the risk of increased sun sensitivity. Bakuchiol is not supposed to cause sun sensitivity, so now I have a product I can more safely apply in the morning. I still do intend to use sunscreen daily, however. This serum (to me, this has more of the consistency of a light cream) has a fruity, sweet scent which isn’t offensive. And that’s not a purple colored bottle that you see in the picture. This stuff is purple in color, which is a first for me among my various skin products. There is some slight stickiness until it dries completely, and it does seem to require several minutes to dry, but then the skin is smooth. There’s no skin discoloration (you won’t look purple!) once it has been spread and absorbed. I did look all over the box and the bottle, but I don’t see any indication of where this is made. There is an expiration date on the bottom of the box which is 3 years from the date of manufacture (in my case, nearly 3 years from the date of receipt).

Well this serum is actually a light purple and has a very nice scent that reminds me of grape bubblegum but in a good way. The serum is quickly absorbed by the skin leaving it nice and soft. The product contains a lot of great ingredients, it is vegan and plant based. It contains Arbutus, Bakuchiol and TXA as well as a lot of nice plant and fruit extracts. I really like what's in this product and it does feel good on my face.
The one drawback is that there is no manufacturing information or information about ingredient testing or sourcing, who made it and where. The package plastic wrap has a stick on label that does say Made in the USA but that's it. The listing gives the manufacturer as BLIW Beauty House Cosmetics, Ltd. but a search brings up no results for this name. The brand name SC Sapphire is an online sales name but SC Sapphire does not appear on the box or the product bottle. So I really don't know, I like this product but have low confidence in knowing its actual origins, purity, production and ingredients.

I was not expecting this serum to smell like ...grapes? Blueberries? I'm not sure, it is a little fruity and youthful. It smells youthful and nice, but it isn't a scent that you smell a lot in skincare products. For me, I don't prefer it, but that's because it reminds me of grape-flavored lip balm and other things from my early teens. I think there are some people out there who will really like having it scented like fruit, though.
Another shocker for me - it was purple cream.
It blends in and absorbs fairly quickly and easily. My skin was soft afterward. I really like Bakuchiol as an ingredient and my skin responds well to it, compared to retinol.
I just couldn't find a lot of information about the manufacturers, which I didn't like. This is going on my body, so transparency and communication are really important here.

Before using this product, I tested it on my inner arm for compatibility - it passed! Used it this morning. It's a breeze to apply, spreads easily, feels soft, moist, and comfortable. Interesting that the contents of this Glow Boost Serum is Purple, but is clear on the skin! It's a substitute for Retinol that can sometimes be a bit too hearty for some skins. This is called Bakuchiol, a good alternative. Lots of ingredients, but most facial products seem to have an abundance anyway. The Serum comes in a 30 ml frosted glass bottle, with the pump built in to the lid, and with a white plastic cover over the lid. The contents are kind of a medium creamy liquid. colored a very rich purple, with only a very slight scent that doesn't stay. A unique product that works well for its purpose.

4.5 Stars
I took off half a star because there is no information about how to use it or it's ingredients on the bottle itself. There is on the box but not the bottle. So you have to keep the box to refer to for use etc.
I absolutely LOVE the aroma!
It says 2 to 4 squirts for you face and neck. The first time I used it I did 4 squirts and that was WAY to much. Every time after that I only use 2 and it's the perfect amount for me. 4 squirts made it take a lot longer for my skin to absorb and looked like I had glue or something on my face 🤣
2 squirts is just right. My skin absorbed it quickly and left my face & neck looking healthy with the perfect glow.
And it didn't feel sticky!
I love it. Best I've gotten so far.

Honestly I feel like this serum did absolutely nothing for me. It applies very watery and absorbed in seconds. I felt a little warm and itchy after applying so I may be slightly allergic to something in the formula. I didn’t feel glowy after, just shiny, which I felt like emphasized my pores and wrinkles. If anything I looked worse after. It also smells like when lotion starts to go bad, if you know what I mean. The one thing I like is that, despite being purple, it seems like the serum wasn’t dyed— just natural coloration from the fruit extracts. The ingredients seem to be clean and pretty good for you otherwise, I just feel like it didn’t do anything for me.

This is purple - why is it purple? It isn’t just a purple bottle - it will rub off on clothing and leave a purple mark if you touch it before it soaks in. Also it has a grape scent, again for reasons that aren’t clear. It’s possible that it’s used to cover up the scent of ingredients, and I sometimes think bakuchiol serums sometimes have a weird smell. Still, I don’t enjoy my face smelling like grape.
Aside from the coloring and fruity scent, this does seem to make my skin feel nice. Soft, hydrated, with no irritation. I think it’s probably a good serum overall, it just isn’t a good fit for me.

Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer
This serum has a thicker consistency than most serums I've used. It has the consistency of a lotion rather than a buildable serum. I typically use this on it's own for that reason as well as the potency of the skincare ingredients. My skin most certainly feels taken care of and moisturized using this as my night time routine. I don't believe the hype of people seeing "improvements" by having a skincare routine. It is all preventative for *future* skin issues. I'll for sure continue to use this as part of my routine!

The smell is a bit funky not gonna lie. The texture is nice and it feels hydrated. I did see a nice glow, and one pump is all you need. My skin isn’t getting irritated with this. I’ve tried so many times with stronger products, and even with oily acne prone skin, I end up with red and irritated skin. This version is so much easier on my skin type while providing a youthful look still. Once or twice a week is plenty for me. Decent price considering you don’t need to use a lot or too often.

Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer
This serum stands out for its thicker, lotion-like consistency, unlike more fluid, watery serums I've tried before.
The rich texture makes it a great standalone skincare product, especially given the ingredients packed into the formula. My skin feels nourished and moisturized after each application, making it a welcome addition to my nighttime routine!
While the serum may not deliver miraculous overnight transformations, it provides a solid foundation for maintaining healthy skin.

The scent is out of this world refreshing! I feel like I’m on a tropical island somewhere! This is a nice light serum that applies very smoothly. It has a lovely raspberry scent that just makes me happy for some reason. It’s a buttery soft texture too, so it’s really easy to blend all over. It absorbs almost instantly too. I think if you’re looking for a good healthy serum to hydrate and even skin tone, this may be a great option for you. I love it!!!

This is a complexion serum that smells divine. I love the lightweight feeling of the serum. It starts out purple and turns clean. I just followed the instructions on the packaging and I believe I’m getting good results with it. I really like it. A lot. Plus, I have sensitive skin and so far so good with that issue. It is reasonably priced and very good quality. I intend to re-order when I run out. I hope it works out just as well for you!

The SC Sapphire's Glow Boost Bakuchiol Serum is great so far! The product itself has a nice subtle smell. It isn't overpowering and also does not have a weird smell like other skincare products. It applies nicely as well. It says it is a serum, but it does have a creamy consistency to it when applied. It goes on smooth and my skin feels soft & hydrated after. It does look like it has a glow to it after as well.

Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer
The serum is extremely lightweight and applies well. Typically apply it prior to sleeping alongside a lotion and it leaves my skin feeling softer than usual. The scent is pretty mild, making it a good alternative to many products on the market. Not seeing any issues in terms of quality. It should last a while if used as instructed, thus making the price of he product justified. Recommend for anyone 26 and up!
