Echoing many of the comments above, this is a great piece. I bought two styles of scarf (this one and the Birdseye stitch with frills). This one is the more basic of the two styles, but it is still very stylish. Warm and substantial without being too heavy. I bought the Navy, which was very dark- more a midnight blue. A great daily workhorse and terrific value for money.

I wanted a longer line, more casual looking jumper. The boyfriend crew delivers just the thing. At the same time it is so well made and with a scarf you could dress it up to wear anywhere. I chose the mocha colour which is fairly close to how it looks on my screen. I think I will need another one for next winter in one of the other colours ;-)

One of mine is the woolen jumpers , this sleeveless one I have worn for some years ,for good for work for around a camp fire , very hard wearing and warm , often with long sleeve its all you need till single digit temperature. I bought a quality Merino Aklanda sweater a year ago. Many months later it developed a small hole which I thought was a manufacturing defect and I contacted Aklanda. In their opinion the hole was caused by a silver moth. They advised how to protect against pests and without even asking me to send them the sweater for examination they generously offered me the choice of their entire catalogue for a replacement. I promptly received my choice, free of charge or postage. I have now three Aklanda merino products. Aklanda is tops for quality, service and integrity. And they're Australian.

Haven’t worn it yet but very pleased with the fact that it’s Australian made and looks very warm and comfortable.

Everything down to the label oozes quality. It is not cheap "Chinese knitwear" made to look good in the packaging and then proceed to breakdown once it is worn. It is made in Australia, I can feel the quality. It is a jumper made of high quality wool and for one who has worn woollen jumpers for well over 60 years I am happy to advise anyone to purchase a jumper from Aklanda. The short style is flattering, so you can be in a nice warm sweater but not look all frumpy, allows hip and waist to show they are there.

For over 30 years I've had at least one or two and currently three Aklanda jumpers. They are the highest quality woolen jumpers and when I need a gift for someone overseas they get an Aklanda and a bottle of Australian whiskey. Recently I replaced my Merino Mid Crew Sweater with another just the same, after a decade of wearing it to meetings, work sites, golf and casually. I cannot believe how well it retained its shape and new gloss and feel. They are something I always recommend to friends in Australia and o'seas.

I have several high quality wool jumpers that I love wearing, they are a bit fancy for around the house and I was looking for something more suited to that purpose. This jumper fits the bill. In the garden, feeding the chooks… it’s the one I grab. I pair it with a nice thick merino base layer and it’s all I need to stay warm here in the chilly Vic Alpine shire. This sweater is exceptionally versatile and comfortable. It's heavier than the 3-button Polo I bought at the same time and is well suited to all but coastal California's warmest summer months. I wear it over a merino or cotton t-shirt with jeans for work and dress slacks for dinner or evenings out. The fit is loose enough to be comfortable but not overly so as to be sloppy or too casual. For those not familiar with how merino "feels" against one's skin, I'd describe it as similar to cashmere, but more comfortable and more versatile in terms of how it's maintained. I have several Aklanda sweaters in my wardrobe and each is exceptionally well made, comfortable and with care, will last a lifetime. I can't recommend this or Aklanda's other sweaters high enough, and hope the colors the Polo collection is available in will be expanded.

I am the proud owner of three Aklanda v neck jumpers. They are of course all the same colour, but are unfortunately in various stages of disrepair from various types of maltreatment by me! So when i saw the opportunity to get another one for BEST I grabbed it. It arrived really promptly....four days I think, and looked terrific when I tried it on nice and dark and slightly gleaming..luxury...but I have not seen it since...my partner has hidden it for special occasions.

The scarf is the colour of fairy floss and has a lovely wintery weave in it. The scarf has a delicate pattern which we didnt expect. Ive been wearing it out all week and I love the soft feel of it.

This is my third top from Aklanda, my first jumper I have had for two years.The merino is quality wool, l don't have any pills and the jumper washes well in wool wash. This is a light cable not chunky and I will wear with skirts and jeans. I upsized as I have a large bust and very happy with the size.

This is the second of these cardigans I have bought. They are comfortable, well made and fit well. For me it is important to have pockets. Given the quality of the material this cardigan is good value for money.

An exceptionally warm, soft and comfortable beanie!

So this was the second part of my first ever delivery from Aklanda. As with the jumper, I went for the XL and again, that was the right size for me. I love the textures in this cardigan. It makes for a fairly substantial garment which can be worn as a smart-casual jacket. The illustration is quite true to colour and is what I was looking for. I think these clothes are excellent value for money.

I purchased one in Red and found it to be perfect for me so I have now ordered it in Leaf as well. Both colours are gorgeous. They are super soft and comfortable and look great.

So many reasons to love this:: Beautiful styling, soft wool almost cottony feeling; perfect fit. (I am 5 feet tall, 140 pounds and large fit perfectly.). I love the mocha color. The sweater washes in the machine well.

Lovely warm & cosy cardigan. Bright chirpy colours exactly as they appear on Aklanda website. Well made, good quality and easy to wear with zip front. Slightly stretchy. Good length, great for wearing with tights of jeggings.

Having now bought more than five Aklanda merino sweaters with some now over five years old & still like new they are excellent quality & don’t loose their shape over time . Highly recommend.

After belatedly discovering the benefits of hoodie (and overcoming my reticence to look like a gang banger at 65), I searched the world over for a 100% merino wool hoodie, as synthetics and cotton are simply inferior for this type of garment, which may see some precipitation, especially here in the USA. This is the only merino hoodie I have found, and I'm quite pleased with it. It isn't too thick or heavy, but it is tight woven, wind resistant and warm. I even wear it as a shirt; it is so comfortable against my skin. It doesn't have the same stiff hand, or feel, as a typical knit fleece synthetic, but this is the nature of wool knits, so I don't recommend going for a baggy fit; it works better as a tighter fit. It would be nice to maybe have a drawstring on the hood, but the fabric is so stretchy and limp, this may not work well. I'm 5' 6" and the small is just a tad large on me, but still fine. Highly recommended!

I have worn Aklanda sweaters over many years now and find they are really comfortable to wear as well as being very well made in Australia from our own home grown merino wool. We moved to Canberra last year and I have been expanding my woollen jumper collection ever since . This jumper is a good weight to cope with a freezing Canberra winter. I was particularly attracted to the zip up neck which when it is open , will make it easy with pulling the jumper on, then enabling a raised collar by closing the zip which should help keep out the winter cold.

I already had a couple of merino vests (from other brands) before I bought this one. This one blows the others out of the water! The Aklanda is much better quality, with a tighter stitch and superior strength. I am confident of getting a lot of wear out of this one.

I am extremely happy with my new cardigan. I have a progressive degenerative neurological condition which effects my body's ability to regulate temperature as well as makes my skin very sensitive to most fibres. I am in bed 98% of the time. Although I a bamboo night dress, I often need something to wear on top when it is cooler and this garment made of Merino wool, is unbelievably soft, breathable and gives me the warmth without overheating me. It is exceptionally well made, fits beautifully and is super comfortable.

I bought the coat mid last year in the colour Wallaby, have worn it constantly on chilly days, it washes beautiful and is so comfortable and flatering to wear. I love my new black cable knit jumper. The cables are quite narrow so it is flattering. The garment is very springy and soft and ever so warm. I expect it to be a staple of my wardrobe for many years. My other Aklanda cable jumper is a v-neck and is my very favourite jumper for golf.

In a very cold place now, and this is the perfect insulator to go with my Aklanda Merino AB Shawl jumper. Looks great too. More practically, it is also great for technical wear, as it lets you protect your neck & chin against snow and rain, and when wet, doesn't create a dangerous layer like blended materials do. Wouldn't buy another one - only because this is so fantastic it wouldn't need to be replaced.

I bought two beautiful Marino crewneck jumpers, one in black and one in blue and they are very stylish and beautifully made. They fit me perfectly and the length is just right. The black one looks quite dressy so with some gold jewellery and a nice pair of black slacks you could go anywhere. I’ve bought this brand in the past for my husband and the quality is fantastic and I would highly recommend Aklanda. I spoke on the phone to George and he gave fantastic customer service and went above and beyond to help me find the correct size.

Not much of a scarf wearer but purchased a 3 block stripe one in Green to coordinate with a snow jacket for our trip to Europe in December. It is a good length & stretchy enough to twist in different ways & a fine weave.

I was really pleasantly surprised when I received the Merino Button Polo Seater from Aklanda. The style and fit suits me very well and I should add, not easy to find in the market. The short rib knit was perfect for me, being on the height challenged side long jumpers can make me look frumpy. The quality is excellent and being made in Australia means jobs for Aussies. Only worn once so far but no pilling at all unlike a lot of garments made in other countries. These beautiful Aklanda jumpers will earn their price tag with many winter wears.

I’ve bought two woollen jumpers from Aklanda. First a navy one and I wore it so much I bought the black. They are good quality and a simple v neck design …and don’t cling to my hips. It’s difficult I find a good quality well designed jumper these days but these fit the bill.

This is my first purchase from Aklanda. I am so glad to have discovered their range. I bought a black jumper - no surprises in the colour. The quality is great. The jumper washed well per instructions. I deliberated over the fit as that is so variable between labels. I took the hint that 'true to size' probably meant traditional sizing and ordered XL when the other knits I have on the go are L and even M. Good move, as the XL is the right size for me. I am planning my next purchases already...

Aklanda has long been my first choice when I am looking to buy knitwear, and I have never been disappointed with my choice. This applies to my recent my purchase of a long-sleeve merino wool polo. It is stylish, soft on the skin, and fits perfectly. Aklanda garments are not cheap, but they are quality and last forever.

I have this in three colours and really love it. It’s a nice subtle design and the perfect weight for all year round. I’ve worn this when a cool change has passed through in summer or when it’s been a cold day in winter. Aklanda is very predictable; quality, durable, great customer service and fits in anywhere with any outfit.

I have owned at least 3 other Aklanda jumpers which I continue to wear. They have been excellent because they hold their shape for many years and are easy to maintain. A fantastic casual jumper with a great pattern knitted into it. Feels good to wear and I really love the Anthricite colour. A perfect addition to the range.

Received it and the sizing is good though a size smaller would've fit me perfectly.. true to sizing on the website though. I bought the yellow which has unique colours, and brings a youthful look to knitwear. Hopefully this colour becomes available in the Cardigan too. Maybe need to be slightly brave to pull it off but it's has a unique design and is great value for what you're getting!

Have just received my sweater today and am very impressed with it. Typical of Aklanda, this is a very well made sweater that is nice and firm in construction with a great shawl collar that allows for it to be worn formally or casually. The pattern gives it something different as well.

I bought this for my son - he chose the style and colour. It looks equally good with a casual jumper as it does with a jacket, shirt and tie. The scarf is extremely soft and quite luxurious - a definite winner.

Have 4 of these. They are a really modern design whilst having the weight of the heavyweight ribbed style. The pattern is really unique and works perfectly with jeans over a t shirt. If any new colours come out I’ll be buying more!

I recently bought the Casino 3-button Polo and liked it so much that I grabbed 3 more (Berry, Mushroom - finally back in stock! and the new Denim color) when they went on sale. Aklanda's (and Australia Post's) always prompt order fulfillment ensured that I received my new sweaters in 6 days, from Melbourne to LA. As stated in my first review, these sweaters are exceptionally versatile, and comfortable. The polo's weight is light enough to be worn year-round in climates where different layers are needed at various times of the day, especially in coastal climates such as Southern California's with cool mornings and evenings year-round. I wear Merino polos over a merino or cotton t-shirt with jeans for work and dress slacks for dinners or evenings out. The fit is loose enough to be comfortable but not sloppy or too casual. For those not familiar with how merino "feels" against one's skin, I'd describe it as similar to cashmere, but more comfortable and more versatile in terms of how it's maintained. For US shoppers, the polos can be machined-washed on a cold cycle with Tide detergent (the pods work great) or dry-cleaned at a reputable cleaner. I have several Aklanda sweaters in my wardrobe and each is exceptionally well made, comfortable and with care, will last a lifetime. I can't recommend this or Aklanda's other sweaters highly enough, and hope the colors the Polo collection is available in will be expanded.

The Jacob Zip Hoodie with pockets was purchased in August as a gift for my husband's birthday. I was surprised at how quickly this item was packaged and posted, arriving 12 days before his birthday! My husband only received this beautiful gift yesterday so has yet to wear it, but expressed his sincere "thank you". Our daughter commented that it looked like such a warm hoodie and would keep him really warm. I have purchased numerous merino wool items in the past, however, I am a first time Aklanda customer. I purchased my first Aklanda about 30 years ago. I have worn it about 3 days a week playing golf during Winter. At the end of winter I have washed it inside out and placed it on top of the clothsline to dry. Then folded it up and paced it away until next winter. It is slightly faded but in otherwise good condition. I have just bought another one for going out in winter. They are of an incomparable quality. The expense is of no consequence when you consider how long they last. First class in every respect.

The egg blue colour is close to the photographed colour, not bright but subdued. Lovely! The neckline is perfect for shirts and works with scarves. While the texture is soft, the sweater is substantial, not thin and the wool quality is excellent!

A luxurious, soft blanket with a tight knit. Very warm with a good heft. In my opinion, it is a little small to be a true queen size blanket (it covers the queen size mattress with a little overhang, but the spare is not long enough to be tucked in). Although, if you intend to use it as a bedding "throw" it will work well. I bought it for my young daughters to use on the couch during winter; but they love it so much I doubt they will want to share it. I can see a second one in our future.......

I bought a piece of M light brown some time ago. The style is grand, the quality is very good, and the workmanship is excellent. For the Melbourne climate in winter, it is warm and light to wear as a jacket. The quality and practicality are completely comparable to similar traditional brands in Europe. product. Even after finding a minor mechanical missed stitch in the first jumper received, Aklanda immediately replaced it with another they made especially. It is perfect in all aspects - the fit (which I believe is close to body but not tight fitting), the wool quality is so soft yet neatly knitted & springy, the shape is classic & womanly. The magnolia colour did look different on the second jumper compared to the first, but I loved both. I am so excited to have discovered Aklanda, I can once again purchase quality Australian knitwear at a reasonable price. So many colour choices, which one to choose next?

I don't like fast fashion. I want my coat cardy for life, that's why I buy from Aklanda. I upsized as i like to layer. The cost looks great, and I am going to wear with jeans and dresses.

I have owned a number of Akalanda sweaters and heavy jumpers over the years. The quality is excellent, they are true to size and there is the pleasure of owning a quality Australian product. My new berry colour merino rib knit crew is true to type. An excellent warm item of knitwear for the coldest high plains days.

My first experience with the product was 14 years ago with a jumper that I still have and wear today. The guernsey has maintained its shape and appearance to this day and still worn, warm and comfortable, consequently a reason for my recent purchase.

I am a hot blooded person and in the winter I never wear any more than a long sleeved shirt with sleeves rolled up and a sleeveless pullover. I have already purchased three of the Aklanda Merino V-neck vests and I was adding to my wardrobe with two additional colours. I love the weight and the way they drape. I wear them constantly in the winter no matter what the occasion.

I first purchased an Aklanda jumper for my husband in/around 2015. That particular jumper is still great except for the cuffs which has just started to wear slightly. The quality of Aklanda jumpers is exceptional and they wash beautifully. They look good and last for years. My husband now has 3 jumpers and I will continue to purchase them

I was pleased to be able to purchase an Australian made beanie, and am very happy with the product, with a quick delivery and decent price.

I now possess 5 of Aklanda multi 3D cardigans and sweaters and I love them all. They fit me beautifully,, the only caveat is the images on line are a little brighter than the the finished garment but that's ok. Recently ordered two more items and had input from Aklanda saying that there might be a delay but that wasn't a problem with me and they were very helpful with expediting the order. Unfortunately VAT at 20% was leveled here but I felt it was worthwhile to get such iconic knitwear. Funnily enough the day after I received my latest acquisition I saw someone else wearing one of their cardigans in a local shop. We got talking and she had bought hers in Melbourne. We both live in Bristol in the UK.. I'll give them 5 stars for product and after care.
